About Geneva Methodist Daycare & Preschool
Our daycare & preschool has a gold star rating with the state of Ohio’s Step-Up-to-Quality system. Our curriculum aligns with the Early Learning and Development Standards and the Common Core State of Ohio Standards. Admission to our programs is open to all children without regard to race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Hours of Operation
Daycare is open Monday – Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We provide quality care for children from 18 months through 12 years of age. Children are grouped according to age:
- -Toddlers (18 months – 36 months)
- -Preschool (3 – 4 years)
- -Pre-K & Kindergarten (5 – 6 years)
- -School age (6 – 12 years)
Busing
Currently, morning bus pick-up is available from our center for Geneva Platt Spencer (GPS) Elementary. Afternoon bus drop-off at our facility is available from GPS, Cork, and Austinburg Elementary schools. Kindergarten busing is available to and from all three Geneva Elementary schools for both the morning and afternoon sessions.
Preschool
The preschool program is separate from the Daycare and children may be enrolled in either program, or both programs. Our preschool program is in session during the months of September through May. Classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Morning sessions are from 9:00 am until 11:30 am, while afternoon sessions are scheduled from 12:15 pm until 2:45 pm. The children are grouped by age with classes provided for children age 3, age 4, and Pre-K (age 5).
Goals
Our goal in both the Preschool and Daycare programs is to provide each child with quality care in a safe and nurturing environment, to encourage curiosity, self-esteem, and self-expression through experiences in language, art, music, and play, and to foster independence and confidence.
